Mongena Private Game Lodge
We fell in love with Mongena the first time we visited, and we believe you will, too. Nestled within the Dinokeng Game Reserve, this incredible lodge captivated us with its warm atmosphere, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and unforgettable game drives that brought us face-to-face with Africa’s most iconic wildlife.
For the wedding weekend, we’ll have the entire lodge to ourselves, creating an intimate and memorable experience for everyone joining us. Guests can choose from several beautiful accommodation areas, each offering comfort, charm, and stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.
What makes this reserve truly special is that all members of the Big Five—elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, and lion—roam freely across the landscape. Mongena’s 21,000-hectare concession offers an authentic and exclusive safari experience, where only registered safari vehicles are permitted, ensuring private access and uninterrupted moments with nature.

We recommend planning your arrival no later than Thursday, March 19th, and heading straight to Mongena Private Game Lodge. To make things easy, shuttles will be available to pick you up from OR Tambo International Airport and bring you directly to the lodge.
To keep your experience seamless, transportation is also provided for the Boma Braai and back, so you can simply enjoy without worrying about logistics. Please note that, for safety reasons, children under the age of three are not permitted on game drives.

To reserve your spot, simply complete the attached booking form and email it to wedres@mongena.co.za. Be sure to reference the Davis–DeWet wedding to ensure your room is included in the wedding block.
