Keep the Celebration Going: Our Cape Town “Buddymoon”

The party doesn’t end at Mongena! After our wedding festivities, we’ll keep the fun going with a Buddymoon in breathtaking Cape Town. On March 23, 2026, we’ll depart together from Mongena Private Game Lodge and fly from OR Tambo International Airport to Cape Town, where we’ll explore the best of the Cape through March 26, 2026. You can choose from three beautiful hotels—the stylish Radisson Cape Town Foreshore, the contemporary Sky Hotel, or the elegant AC Marriott Waterfront—and Nathan from Khaya Tours will send you a secure payment link once you’ve selected your stay (just email him your choice at Nathan@khayatours.com). Please note: flights from OR Tambo → Cape Town are not included in the package and will need to be booked separately. We recommend scheduling your arrival no later than 12:00 PM on March 23, 2026 so you’re on time for the city tour and welcome dinner.

Group Itinerary Highlights

  • March 23 – Arrival & City Tour: After landing, we’ll tour Cape Town’s historic gems—Table Mountain views, the Castle of Good Hope, Company Gardens, and the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood—before a festive welcome dinner at the renowned Gold Restaurant.

  • March 24 – Cape of Good Hope Adventure: Enjoy a full-day scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, with stops at Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak, Cape Point, and the famous Boulders Beach to see the African penguins.

  • March 25 – Stellenbosch Winelands: Savor wine and cheese tastings at Fairview Estate, visit the historic Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela was released, stroll charming Franschhoek, and finish with a tasting at Boschendal Wine Farm.

  • March 26 – Farewell: Morning transfer back to the airport for onward journeys.

Package prices for each hotel are listed below.

Your Package Includes:

  • 3 nights at your chosen hotel

  • Round-trip airport transfers (one with a guided city tour)

  • 2 full-day tours

  • Lunch on both full-day tours (March 24 & 25)

  • Entrance fees for all listed sights

  • Daily breakfast

  • Dinner at Gold Restaurant on your arrival day

  • Evening shuttles to and from the Waterfront (7:00–9:30 pm)

Prefer your own accommodations? Totally fine! You can still book all the group activities through Nathan at Nathan@khayatours.com. The only difference is that you’ll be responsible for your transportation to and from the daily meet-up points. The approximate cost per person for the full activity package—including all tours, lunches, entrance fees, dinner at Gold Restaurant on the first night, and transportation to and from activities—is about $510. This way, no matter where you stay, you’ll still be part of the adventure!
